Frugal Living Benefits

by frugalman on November 6, 2010

Question 3: What are some benefits to frugal living? Why are people frugal?
The benefits are whatever you want them to be. Perhaps you want to live a less materialistic lifestyle or maybe times are tough and you need to be conservative with your money. For me the biggest benefit is that I don’t have to work as much (I can support my family working 27 hours a week) and that gives me more time with my family. Other good reasons are so that your kids won’t have to go to daycare or can be home-schooled. I should caution you though, if you’re wanting a frugal lifestyle because you want to live a green lifestyle, do your research and make sure your not playing into someone else’s propaganda. Most recycling for example actually creates more pollution and damages the environment as well as increases taxes—just like the bogus man-made global warming scam.
